Chard is quite popular in European countries. The microgreens give vibrant color and grow tall very fast. In my case, I used a little bit more seeds (2 oz) for a 10″ by 20″ tray, that’s because the seed hulls make the seeds look bigger. You may want to start with a little lesser.
Chard
Description
The seed hulls are tenacious and labor-intensive to remove. One tip is that when you are sowing the seed, you can first sow them under a compact layer of soil followed by a layer of loose soil, and then a thick soil layer again on top. It helps remove the hulls when the seed germinates, where you will be able to harvest the chard without the hulls. It works for beet too.
